ABOUT ME
Ella holloran
Ella Holloran entered University of Central Florida as a Freshman in June 2024, reporting for pre-season as a member of the Women's Soccer Team. She is a Business Major and expects to graduate in 2028. Ella scored her first UCF career goal against Georgia in her fourth appearance on the pitch for the team. She is excited to grow alongside her new teammates, learn from the accomplished coaching team, and hopes to eventually move up to a professional or national team.
Ella played at IMG Academy throughout high school, serving as a captain all four years. During her freshman season, she advanced to the U15 national finals with IG after winning the conference championship. She won the U16 coaches award during her sophomore season after leading the team to the quarterfinals. During her junior year, she was named the IMG Program Player of the Year and the IMG U17 MVP, finishing second in the conference. During her senior year, she was named U19 MVP and was honored as one of only 15 senior student athletes nominated for the inagural 2024 Nick Bollettieri Power of Passion Award.
Ella summarizes her IMG career, "I usually played the 6 but also extremely comfortable with playing the 8 and 10 where I can use my attacking mindset. I started every game and played every minute at IMG except a short hiatus fall of my senior year due to an injury. Despite that, I continued to attend all practices and training sessions to lead my team as captain." Though not naturally left footed, Ella has worked such that both her feet are equally capable in any situation on the field.
Before coming to IMG, Ella lived in Massachusetts where she played for NEFC, FC Stars and Aztec. At both NEFC and Aztec Ella double rostered, and played a huge role on both teams, where she was the leading scorer as the number 9. Ella was also captain on her NEFC team from the ages of 7-13. At NEFC, Ella was called up to ID training. She adds, "With so much passion and love for the game, I decided IMG Academy offered the best opportunity for development and ability to satisfy my drive to be an elite player."
Ella credits her role as captain for making her both a better player and person. She is particularly proud of finishing 1st in the u15 Southeast Conference, with a record of a 12-1-2, with 44 goals for and 10 against- including tournament games.
